Arizona Vacation ~ Day 5

Because it was the middle of a busy week of school and work for the Nickles family, we decided it would be easier for everyone for us to stay in a hotel nearby. We took advantage of a late check out and had a leisurely morning in Tucson.

Eating breakfast looking longingly outside at the pool area.

An early morning dip in the hot tub.

It didn't take long for the kids to warm up and move over to the refreshing pool.

As long as they were in the water, they felt great. However, the temperature was just crisp enough at 10:00 a.m. that wet skin felt very cold. Timothy fit nicely in his towel sandwich.

Savannah put so much lotion on my legs that the sun couldn't even penetrate it. However my arms and face got a little pinkish tint.

NEXT DESTINATION: Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

Just outside the park, we stopped for a, you guessed it, a cooler lunch! Sarah showed Savannah the plants she should not touch or smell.

Always pushing the limits!

I just love these kiddos! Thank you God for blessing us and entrusting them to our care.

Father and son had to take a little walk, if you know what I mean.....

Notice the sun, notice the smile.

It's hard for me to believe that I am going to be turning 40! in a couple days when I have a little, itty, bitty 2 year old!

A picture of a mountain lion on the brochure.

There he is.

Up close and not so personal.

Lindsay.... the grumpy-faced picture spoiler.

Ahhhh...their cute looks are most-likely very deceiving.

We had to search several areas looking for these clever javelinas. On the left are several sleeping and on the right side of the picture is one walking toward us. In my opinion, these animals are very ugly and scary looking.

"Don't call me a pig."

A very close up look at a Bighorn Sheep.

And from farther away up high on a rock.

Sarah the thick-skinned tortoise??

Timmy the turtle.

One last ride on the javelinas before leaving.
