Arizona Vacation ~ Day 4 (continued)

After our fun swim and picnic, we headed a little farther south to Oro Valley (a northern part of Tucson). My Uncle Bob (Jodi's dad's brother) and Aunt Sue and their daughter's family (my cousin) - Cindy, Mike, Alexandria and Tanner - all live here.

Phil and I had visited in October 2008, and we promised that sometime we would bring the kids back. Hopefully they were serious when they requested that.

Catching up over appetizers. Savannah must have been telling Cindy something very important.

Timothy's new favorite second cousin - Tanner. These two were inseparable the entire evening. They jumped on the trampoline, played with the Wii, trashed Tanner's room with Lego's, and even played dress-up. Then to top it off, Tanner gave Timothy several of his toys that he had outgrown. My son was thrilled beyond words. Thanks, Tanner, for being such a polite, considerate and fun cousin that Timothy thinks is the "coolest."

Here is a video of them jumping together.

Savannah picking lemons off the tree. How I would love one of these and one of the grapefruit trees in my backyard.

What do you do with so many newly picked lemons? Make fresh lemonade, of course.

Cindy had plastic Easter eggs filled with candy for the kids to find. Allie and Alexandria (who discovered they share the same birthday 2 years apart) hid all the eggs in the backyard. The only rules for the hunt: let the little ones find some first and no one can fall in the pool.

Alexandria give Savannah some hints to find her egg.

Even though rain clouds were threatening, the view was gorgeous. Look at how the setting sun is hitting the top of the mountains behind Cindy and me.

The egg hunt is on!

Savannah moving on to the important part of the egg hunt - eating the candy.

From left to right: Allie, Tanner, Lindsay, Timothy, Sarah, Alexandria and Savannah

Very typical scenario: the girls trying to enjoy a story and Timothy enjoys shooting things.

Sarah loved both "Sophies" she met this day - Brenda's dad's dog and the Nickles' dog.

Thanks Cindy and family for a delicious dinner and friendly hospitaliy. I am so glad that even as schedules got changed, we were able to get together. Next time, we promise to stay longer...if you'll have us!
