Mission proposed by kids who were dying to go swimming: Jump into Blakemore's unheated pool even though the water temperature said....
57 degrees! Brrr.
57 degrees! Brrr.
We tried to convince them that it would be extremely cold, but to no avail. Phil and I figured there was no harm in a few seconds of chilly water if the kids were willing.
Allie was the first one who jumped in without any hesitation.
Lindsay hesitated for a few minutes but finally made the plunge. I can truthfully say that I have never seen her as stunned and silent as she frantically swam to the edge.
Sarah, after seeing the shock in her sisters' faces, hesitated much longer than Allie and Lindsay, running to the edge several times but stopping short. Here she is on her last chance.
Mission accomplished! Brrrr..................
