Bible Verse of the Day:
“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)  listen to chapter  (Read by Max McLean. Why We Need A Savior

Thought I'd share the Seeking Him Devotional from today. - Jodi

Why We Need a Savior ~ By Nancy Leigh DeMoss

“Unto you is born this day a Savior.” Words like that can slip off our lips so easily around this time of year. Those who have been around the things of God for a long time can take it for granted.

But it’s helpful during a time of decorations and celebration to remember how desperately we need a Savior. In a season of tinsel and lights, we need to be reminded of the darkness of sin. We’ve been saved from the judgment of God, the wrath of God.

The angel Gabriel announced, “You shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” That’s more than a Christmas card greeting. That’s a radical message telling us that Jesus is God’s lifeline, the Savior, the One who came to save us from our sins.

Have you ever really faced the darkness of your sin? Once you do, you’ll celebrate the story of Christmas in a whole new way.

With Seeking Him, I’m Nancy Leigh DeMoss. http://www.seekinghim.com/
