Allie did a wonderful job and the song sounded absolutely beautiful. I am thankful again and again that God gifted her with Phil's genes and that she has the same love of singing that he has. Allie was so nervous and locked eyes with me for the entire song. Hopefully this was a good warmup for singing in public because she has several solos in the children's Sunday School program on the 14th.
Speaking of Phil's singing genes, he was also asked to sing as part of the service. He sang O Holy Night and truly did justice to a beautiful Christmas hymn. So many people who had never heard him sing a solo before commented on the sound and the strength of his voice. Great job, honey!
Here is part of the song. My camera started flashing low battery in the middle of it so I didn't get it all. I guess he'll just have to give an encore performance. The noise and movement in the background were from people starting to decorate the trees and sanctuary.
All of the children went up front to lead the congregation in Away in the Manger. As Timothy stood there looking so cute and innocent, watch his left hand during the song (about 37 seconds in) as he reached over and started holding Kindrid's hand. Priceless!
