A Belated Thanksgiving Celebration

Since our Thanksgiving plans to Laramie were canceled due to weather, it was exciting to spend a couple days with the other Wyoming Huberts -- Wayne and Sandy and Dave, Missi, Meg, Ella, and Jack. The occasion? They came to see the Nutcracker.

Phil's mom and step dad were both sick and unable to attend the festivities.

Grandma always brings the fun cereal.

The boys.

The kids spent much of the day just hanging out and playing together.

Look - Jack learned the "close the eyes for pictures" trick from Savannah.

Ya know what they say......

Sarah and Ella are two peas in a pod.

While they read, Allie, Savannah, Meg and Lindsay were busy in the kitchen making sugar cookie dough.

It was all Missi's idea...I bet she is making more cookies at home because she loves it so much!!

The cookies came out surprisingly soft for as much flour and handling they received.

Savannah played with this one piece of dough for quite awhile.

Her masterpiece.

If you look closely you can find a small corner of the cookie.

The finished product. I think all but 4 were eaten the very same afternoon!!
