The original plan was to go up to Mt. Rushmore after church on Sunday. But....due to some bad weather and a small issue with Lay's Chips, the Pier and Hubert family ate lunch out of the back of our vehicles waiting for the rain to stop.

The next day there was no potato chip dispute so all 3 families ventured back up the mountain and the skies were clear and blue.
It was so bright, Savannah had to wear shades.
I bet no one else has ever stood right in this spot for this exact picture!

A side note: Phil has Timothy convinced that the Presidents' backsides are carved on the other side of the mountian!
